Vintage 1987 Horizons Catalog (As-Is) Description Up for sale is a vintage Horizons Catalog from 1987 by Universal Distributors Co. which features an illustration of Pat Sajak and Vanna White on the cover with a Wheel of Fortune mockup with the word Horizons in a solved puzzle format. This catalog was kept in a drawer and belonged to a family member who is no longer with us; so for all intents and purposes this listing is part of an ongoing online estate sale of sorts. The catalog was taken out of the drawer which had become overrun with termites and had to be thrown out. At the time, it appeared as though the catalog was still in pretty good shape, but then I made the mistake of leaving it to a dead pile (that is; a listing that you never get around to) and some water eventually spilled on it; causing it to wrinkle a great deal and even made most of the glossy pages stick to one another. The rear cover became stuck onto another publication and was ripped off when they were separated. Just recently I managed to find the ripped piece and sort of managed to put it back together with some clear packing tape on the rear cover; however, the fix is far from perfect and some obvious signs of wear are still clearly evident on there. Aside from that immediately noticeable blemish, this catalog also has some warpage to it; brought on by the aforementioned unexpected water soaking session and has some creases and slightly torn off corners on the cover. The pages themselves also exhibit some yellowing and spotting (again as a result of the spilled water) with bent corners along the edges and whatnot. Some of the pages have even wrinkled up onto themselves. This catalog also comes with a few additional sheets from Universal Distributors Co. which have also wrinkled up a bit as a result of the water damage. While this catalog may not be in the best cosmetic shape, it still is in pretty good shape believe it or not; and it might be collectible to anyone in the market for these old vintage mail order catalogs and whatnot. Either way, I’m pricing it to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
