« I bought these mirrors as replacements for my 2006 Harley Davidson sportster. These mirrors have a very snug fitment so they are not going to move even in high wind. The other thing I like is that they are very adjustable to many more angles, height, and length, much more so than original. Round instead of rectangular so you loose 1″ on the length but gain 1″ or more on the height,because of the better adjustability of these mirrors, this is not an issue. They are made in Taiwan and seem very well made of good material’s and what looks to be a powder coat finish. Some said that the round mirror has a European look to it but I will say they look quite old school on my Sportster. If you’re not sure, there are a few tips for you. Q: How do I know the size of my mirror thread? Please remove your current stock mirror and measure the diameter of the bolt. Q: How do I know the mirror thread pitch of my bike? Most big bike mirror thread is 1.25mm pitch, there are certain BMW big bikes mirror thread is 1.5mm pitch. Here’s how you could measure: Use a vernier caliper. Find a screw that you’re sure is 1.25mm pitch. Try to compare the mirror thread of the two. If it fits, it will look like this. Rule of Thumb Most big bike mirrors have 10mm standard/clockwise thread. Some Yamaha/Ducati, however, have a reversed/anti-clockwise thread and a standard/clockwise thread. Reverse thread mostly found on the right hand side mirror (view from the bike seat). These 5/16″ bolts are for Harley-Davidson only. 8mm are for most scooters’ mirrors.
