Decal Manufacturer: Modeldecal Title: MoD [PE]: Dakota C3, RAE – 50th Anniversary / IAT Fairford; Hawker Hunter T.7 – RAE + RAF/IAM; Gazelle HT.3, ETPS: [‘raspberry ripple’ schemes] Ref: Set No.79 Scale: 1/72 Decals: The sheet contains decals for a three aircraft, a Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE), Douglas Dakota C.3 in a 50th Anniversary of the Douglas DC-3 Dakota held at the International Air Tattoo (IAT) in 1985, two Hawker Hunter T.7 aircraft, one serving with the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) and a second with the Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine (RAF IAM) and one Empire Test Pilots School (ETPS) Westland Gazelle HT.3 (Aérospatiale SA.341D) helicopter. Includes serial numbers for the fuselage all of three aircraft and the Gazelle and the lower wing surfaces, in White for the Dakota, and in Black for both Hunters, RAE crests for the Dakota and Hunter, ETPS unit badges for the Gazelle, large Gold, edged in Black, DC-3 and 50 titles, the later with Green garlands either side for the upper wing, smaller Gold, edged in Black, DOUGLAS DC-3 50 titles for the tail and a 50th Anniversary Douglas DC-3 crest for the nose of the Dakota, IAT logos in Black and White, INTERNATIONAL AIR TATTOO 85 AIR RAF FAIRFORD, Royal Aircraft Establishment titles for the Dakota, small RAF Institute of Aviation Medicine and Royal Aircraft Establishment titles for the Hunters, Red cheat lines in six sections with a White section to place type D roundels for a Hunter (makes the “Raspberry Ripple” scheme a little easier to paint) , Red cheat lines in six sections for the Gazelle incorporating the ▬XZ936▬ serial numbers, type D roundels and the EMPIRE TEST PILOTS SCHOOL titles for the Gazelle, instrument panel decals for one Hunter and the Gazelle, data/stencils including NO STEP, RESCUEw , DANGER q triangles, data blocks markings for a Hunter, DANGER » arrows and a Yellow fire extinguisher decals for the Gazelle, CHOP HERE FOR EMERGENCY RESCUE, propeller markings, warnings and a Red fire extinguisher decal, White bordered type D roundels of different sizes and White bordered fin flashes of different styles for both aircraft types and the Gazelle. There are sufficient decals to complete the Dakota, one of the Hunter aircraft and the Gazelle helicopter. The Dakota is finished in gloss White uppers over gloss Oxford Blue lowers divided by a gloss Signal Red cheat line on the fuselage. Both the Hunters are finished in the ‘Raspberry Ripple’ scheme of gloss Signal Red top uppers, with gloss White mid-uppers and wing surfaces over gloss Oxford Blue lowers, split by a Red cheat line provided as decals on the sheet. The Gazelle is finished in gloss White uppers over Oxford Blue lowers, again split by the Red cheat line provided as decals on the sheet. Also includes hi res COPIES of the comprehensive and detailed double sided A4 and A5 black and white placement guides showing side, upper and lower profiles and images of the aircraft and the helicopter. In addition includes a round Gold 50th Anniversary of the Douglas DC-3 Dakota sticker.
